More Awesome Engagement Photos

18 Feb

Just got this proof from the photographer for one of the frames I’m ordering. Just can’t get over how excited I am at how all of our pics turned out.

If you couldn’t tell… we’re going with a photo booth theme of sorts. <3

And seriously, if you need a wedding or engagement photographer in the Southeast Idaho area, hire Kristi Sheriff Photography!

Best. Photographer. Ever.

Jeff and I went and got our engagement photos done yesterday. We chose Kristi Sherriff Photography, as our wedding photographer and it may have been the best decision I’ve ever made. She’s only showed me one photo, and I’m just SOOO excited to see the rest now. Jeff and I aren’t the most photogenic people… so we both had some anxiety going into it. But she was fun to work with, and definitely worked some magic.

That’s right… I’m engaged!

Monday was Jeff and I’s 5 year anniversary, and to celebrate, I took Tuesday off to spend with him. We were talking, and realized that the last time we had a whole day together, where one of us didn’t have to work, was BEFORE I moved home last year. That’s so sad! So, we decided to have a day to ourselves, and I thought that would be all we did for our anniversary.

Turns out, I was wrong.

Monday, when I got home from work, Jeff had made me dinner. It was ready and plated already at the table where there were roses, and a glass of my favorite wine. I was SOOO surprised! It was adorable, and so sweet. Now, I’d caught on that he was doing something so – in the back of my head for a split second… I wondered… is tonight the night??? But we sat through dinner, and the longer we sat, the more I’d convinced myself. Nope. It wasn’t the night. But who cares? He made me dinner – that is so great! Now, if you knew Jeff at all, you’d know this is a pretty big deal. Not to say he isn’t very thoughtful, because he is. He just prefers to do things together so we usually make dinner together and such. Anyway, so I was very surprised and so happy.

We sat through dinner, visiting and eating. It was delicious, btw – chicken cordon bleu and a mixed salad. So I get up to do the dishes, and he tells me not to worry about them and comes up behind me at the sink and gives me a hug and asks “Was it a good anniversary?”

I respond, “Yes! It’s a great Anniversary.”

At this point, he turns me around and says “How about a new kind of anniversary?” And with a ring in hand, he got on one knee and asked me to marry him.

My response? “What is this? What is this???!”

There might have been some “Really?”s or some “Seriously?!”s in there too. And while I don’t remember much specifics after that except for lots of hugging, kisses, trying not to cry, and then eventually giddy giggling, I do remember – I said Yes!
